Sampip

It had been a while since I passed by the roads of Katipunan and C.P. Garcia.
Plus I heard Parokya ni Edgar's Sampip this afternoon.
Reminded me of U.P. Fair.
Nostalgic.
I miss.

Some people love shoes of certain kinds
Some people love afternoons or the way the moon shines
And they have their reasons to feel the way they do
That's why I asked myself what it is with you

*Is there something wrong with the way I speak?
Do you even see me when I pass you on the street?
I close my eyes and let it be
Because I just can't see
Why you love to hate me.

Some people love weekends because they can fool around
Some people love thunderstorms because of how the drops of rain fall down
And they have their own reasons
Whatever they may be
That's why I think it's kindda funny that you don't have one for me

*Is there something wrong with the way I speak?
Do you even see me when I pass you on the street?
I close my eyes and let it be
Because I just can't see
Why you love to hate me.

And it sucks to face the truth that I ain't got no reasons too
Whenever asked the simple question why I feel the way I do
And I know it's stupid on my part to say that I love you
Even though I know you hate me
And you don't know why you do..

*Is there something wrong with the way I speak?
Do you even see me when I pass you on the street?
I close my eyes and let it be
Because I just can't see
Why you love to hate me.

Beachin' Around

I didn't attend last year's company outing. The years before that, fun memories were almost a blur to me. This year was different, perhaps because I was looking forward to spending time with someone, who might not be around for long, since she might be leaving for "better opportunities."

Our company chose Canyon Cove, a place not new to me anymore. Good place, nice beach, big swimming pool and free food. After the "official activities", we had our own free time: banana boat ride, swimming and watching the sunset. When it was time to leave, we packed our bags with smiles on our faces.

The not so good unfortunate accident with Ikoy last time time I went here was replaced with better memories. And it was genuinely a good day.
